Rolls for Raja - A Mission of love
First and foremost, Thank you. Thank you for taking valuable time out of your day to hear about a girl and her dog. Its 3 am and I'm just home from the 24 hr. Emergency Vet. On the evening of 7/6, my niece was driving home, when she saw a crowd of people, cars and police surrounding a dog that had been hit. As she got closer she realized it was hers. Her baby Raja had been hit! To say she was devastated would be an understatement.
Raja is T's best friend. They've been together for years and they shower each other with love. At the end of the day, Raja jumps into T's arms like she's a toy poodle, and what a sight that is to see. Raja is a unique, energetic, completely lovable pooch. She lives with her person, her fur cousins Stella, faith, Dexter and their people. She even gets frequent visits from other fur family and their people. Rajas people are just Pet People.
We all love our Fur babies very much but sometimes mistakes happen. Raja is paying dearly because of a mistake. The yard she has access to has a unique feature that attracts many guests for the holiday weekend Because of this feature, and despite everyone's best efforts, only 1 of the 2 locks were secured and the dogs were able to escape. Right now Raja is stable but in bad shape. On top of that, The Vet bills are piling up. Trinity has multiple jobs, but like so many of us, she is 1 Medical emergency away from having to make a nearly impossible decision about her best friend.
I am the Aunt. I was sitting in my bed when I got the call that my niece was at the emergency vet alone with my badly injured fur-niece. I showed up to comfort her, and watched as option after option failed. The Dr. could help Raja, but financially my niece's hands were tied. I sat there listening to the people next to us wail as they put their friend down. I cried with my niece, I cried for her and for the people next to us. I thought about my 14 year old pooch that I've had since she was a puppy and my heart broke for them. I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE. I don't have the money she needs, but I can Bake and I will do anything I can to help.
